Our Food Community
As eaters, we all need to have an understanding of and relationship with the people whose care, hard work and expertise cultivates the land and makes beautiful, sustainable food for our community.
Slow Food Huron Valley wants to help promote local growers, artisans and producers who practice Slow Food principles. These principles include: following traditional sustainable and artisanal practices; raising heirloom varieties, heritage breeds and regional specialties; participating in farm-to-school and other educational efforts connecting the community to its food.
